Urgent Support Resources

As your counsellor, I am committed to supporting you during our sessions. However, I am not available 24/7 for immediate crisis support. If you ever find yourself in a crisis or feeling unsafe outside of our scheduled sessions, please know that dedicated resources are available to help you immediately. Here are some immediate support options you can access:

  • Your General Practitioner (GP) or another mental health professional.

  • Your nearest hospital's Emergency Department.

  • Triple zero (000) for ambulance, police or fire services if the situation is serious and requires immediate physical safety intervention.

  • Lifeline: 13 11 14 (Available 24/7): A confidential crisis support service.

  • Suicide Call Back Service: 1300 659 467 (Available 24/7): Offering immediate phone support if you're experiencing suicidal thoughts.

  • RuralLink: 1800 552 002:  Provides 24/7 mental health support and crisis assistance for those in rural areas.

  • Mental Health Emergency Response Line: 1300 555 788: For urgent mental health situations requiring immediate attention.

  • Crisis Care: 1800 199 008: Offers after-hours response to reported concerns about a child’s safety and well-being, as well as information and referrals for individuals in crisis.

  • Kids Helpline: 1800 55 1800 (Available 24/7): A confidential support service for young people aged 5 to 25.

  • 1800RESPECT: 1800 737 732 (Available 24/7): A national counselling service for sexual assault, domestic and family violence.
