The Story Behind Mindful Mind
My journey to creating Mindful Mind Counselling & Consultancy has been deeply personal. Like many, I’ve faced life’s complexities: the lasting impact of adverse experiences, the relentless pressure of high-stress environments, and the toll they take on mind, body, and spirit. Alongside this, I’ve faced chronic and significant health challenges, including those unique to women’s health.
To cope, I adopted coping mechanisms - masks worn to meet the demands of each day. While these masks were initially protective, over time, they distanced me from my authentic self. I drifted from my inner knowing and lost touch with who I truly was.
Discovering Multiple Pathways to Healing
A turning point in my journey came when I discovered the transformative power of mindfulness, meditation, somatic and body-based practices, and complementary therapies like Reiki and sound healing. Through these approaches, I learnt to reconnect with my body, process deeply stored emotions, and release patterns that no longer served me.
These experiences were profoundly healing. They helped me rediscover a sense of safety, grounding, and inner strength that continue to support my well-being and growth today.
This personal journey inspired me to offer others a kind of support that not only recognises the masks we wear and the ways we’ve learned to cope but also celebrates the resilience and wisdom within us. Healing, for me, wasn’t just about managing symptoms; it was about addressing the root causes, releasing what no longer serves, and rediscovering the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.

Mindful Mind is the heart-led embodiment of these beliefs. It’s a safe and supportive space where your whole experience is seen and honoured—both the protective layers you’ve worn and the authentic self longing to emerge.
Using a trauma-informed and holistic approach, I help individuals gently shed those layers, reconnect with their bodies, and cultivate a sense of presence and clarity.

About Me
More than my formal qualifications—including a Master’s in Counselling, Honours in Psychology, and a PhD— it’s my lived experiences that shape the way I connect with and support others.
My approach integrates a range of therapeutic modalities, with an emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection. I aim to create a safe, empowering space where individuals can explore their experiences, heal from the core, and nurture a life grounded in presence and authenticity.
Whether I’m supporting individuals or consulting with workplaces, my mission is to nurture environments that embrace well-being, growth, and transformation.
Mindful Mind is a reflection of my belief that true healing begins when we reconnect with ourselves (mind, body, and spirit) and others, and show up authentically for the lives we’re meant to live.
