About Me
Welcome
I’m Jelica, a counsellor who believes healing begins with gentleness, safety, and the freedom to move at your own pace.
At Mindful Mind, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can pause, breathe, and feel genuinely heard. Together, we explore not only the challenges you’re facing, but also the strengths, insight, and inner resources you already carry.
My work is grounded in an understanding of the whole person (mind, body, and nervous system) and shaped by the belief that meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough.
How I work
My approach is gentle, nervous-system-aware, and collaborative. Rather than rushing toward solutions, we take time to understand what your system has been holding and what support feels most helpful for you.
In our work together, I prioritise:
Safety and trust
Sessions are guided by respect, choice, and a steady pace that supports regulation and ease.
Holistic support
I honour the interconnected nature of emotional, physical, and psychological experience.
Nervous system awareness
Where helpful, I integrate gentle attention to the body to support nervous system regulation and embodied understanding.
Collaboration
You set the pace. I walk alongside you with curiosity, steadiness, and respect.
Over time, this approach can support a greater sense of inner stability, emotional clarity, and feeling more settled within yourself.
My background
I bring together lived compassion with academic depth and professional experience.
My qualifications include:
Master’s in Counselling
Honours in Psychology
PhD in Public Health
I also have over a decade of experience working in complex systems, including child protection, policy, and wellbeing-focused roles. This background allows me to support people across a wide range of experiences, from everyday stress and anxiety to the longer-term impacts of trauma, health challenges, and life transitions.
Who I work with
I support individuals seeking a safe, nurturing space to explore:
anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
nervous system dysregulation and trauma responses
grief, loss, and major life changes
emotional impacts of health challenges
disconnection from self or sense of identity
While my practice is open to all, many people I work with are navigating periods of change and longing to feel more at home within themselves.
My intention
At the heart of my work is the intention to offer a space where you can:
feel safe, supported, and respected
reconnect with your body’s inner signals and wisdom
find greater steadiness and balance in daily life
move toward clarity, integration, and wholeness
If this approach resonates, you’re warmly invited to reach out when the time feels right for you.
